Google Consumer Surveys- A new Google Product to Monetize your Website

Making money through a blog is one of the best ways to make money online. When anyone talks about blog monetization, some popular monetization methods like Google Adsense, Adsense alternatives, Affiliate Marketing etc automatically strikes your mind because they are the most popular monetization methods.

Google now has introduced a new way for bloggers to monetize their blogs in the form of “Google Consumer Surveys”. Announced this week, the Google Consumer Surveys publisher network is now open for Sign Ups. In this post, i will provide you information about this new network and how it works.

What are Google Consumer Surveys?

Google Consumer Surveys provides publishers an opportunity to monetize premium content by offering users the choice of completing a microsurvey. It means, if you have enabled Google Consumer Surveys in your website, your users will first see few survey questions before getting access to the content. After a user answers the question or completes an alternative action (eg. social share), the inline microsurvey will disappear and the grayed out premium content will become visible to the user for a publisher defined period (eg. 24 hours). See below given screenshot for getting better idea about it.

How much can you Earn with Google Consumer Surveys?

The revenue are shared in 50-50 ratio between Google and Publishers. Like any other monetization methods, your earnings largely depends upon your traffic. It means, the larger your traffic, the greater the earning potential. You can earn $0.05 per question. Assuming that your traffic is 100k/month and at least 20% visitors fill out the survey, you can easily make more than $1000 per month.

Users may see an optional offer to complete a longer survey (up to 9 additional questions). Users who choose not to participate can select “No thanks” or simply scroll down without completing the survey.
