I have got lots of EMails, In which users asked me to Provide tutorial for checking whether their blog has been indexed by Google or not. There are so many ways to accomplish this task but I will provide you some easiest methods for doing the same.
- Crawling - Crawling is a process in which, Googlebot try to find updated pages which are not currently added to the Google Index. The program which does all work is known as Googlebot. It decides, which websites to crawl, How many pages to crawl and how often to crawl. Sitemap data plays a major role as well so every webmaster use a sitemap page on his website or blog.
- Indexing -Indexing is the process in which, Pages are scanned and an index is created which is used by Google to show the result(when user perform any kind of search related to that page). Information contains important content tags and attributes. That’s probably the reason why, SEO experts advise you to use Alt tag for images and Proper meta tag,Meta Description and Meta Keyword.
- Serving- It performs the final operation. When a user enters his keyword or query in Google search, Program search the index of relevant pages and thus shows the relevant content to the user. Google follows so many alogorithm which decides, whether a particular page is relevant or not. PageRank plays a major role as well. It means, If your blog has better pageRank then Google will give more importance to your pages in search results.

This method is the easiest method for checking whether your blog has been indexed by Google or not. Simply open Google Search . Type “site:site url” in the search box and hit the Enter button on your keyboard. For example : Site:www.geteverything.org. The screenshot of the same is shown below:

Visit Google Webmasters and Log into your account. If you haven’t added your blog earlier, do the same now by clicking on “Add a Site” button which is shown below:
