How to Add Survey Form in Blogger using Google Docs?

Few days ago, I provided you the tutorial for Creating Online Tests/Quiz in Blogger Blogs. Today, I am going to provide you the tutorial for adding survey form in blogger using Google Docs. If you are serious and dedicated blogger, you may feel the need of Survey. Normally, People use survey form for getting the feedback from their users. Google Docs allows you to create free Survey. You can embed the same in your Blogger Blog for taking the feedback from your visitors. Let’s see, how to do this.

How to Add Survey Form in Blogger using Google Docs?
  • Visit http://docs.google.com and Sign into your account using your GMail User ID and Password.
  • Once Logged in, Navigate to Create>>Form button. You will find this button on the top left corner. The screenshot is shown below:

  • After clicking on “Form” option as shown in above figure, you will redirected to new window. Choose the pre-defined template of your choice from the list of templates. Also write the Title of Survey in the textbox. Once done, click on “Ok”.

1. Adding Questions in your Survey Form
  • To Add question, write your question in the text which is titled as “Question Title“. You can also add Help Text for your users as well.
  • To provide options, type your desired options in the “Option” field. The complete screenshot is shown below:

  • In the above shown figure, i am using “Multiple Choice” option for users. If you want to choose other type of choices, click on “Multiple Choice “Box. The figure is shown below:

  • You can use so many options for taking input from the users. After clicking on “Multiple Choice” drop-down list as shown in above figure, you will see below given screen:

  • There is no restriction in terms of question. It means, you can add more than one question without any issue.
2. How to Add More than One Question for the Survey
  • If you have typed the first question, Click on “Edit” button. The screenshot is given below:

  • After that, click on “Add items” option. You will see below give figure. I was using a Multiple choice option but you can use any kind of option as per your need:

3. Working with Confirmation Page
  • Confirmation page appears when users submit their response. Add your custom message, which will appear to users. For other settings, follow the below given screenshot:

4. Checking the Live DEMO
  • Google Docs allows you to check the Live Demo of your created survey form. To do the same, click on “View Live Form” option. The screenshot is shown below:

  • In my case, The survey form appeared in below given fashion:

  • That’s it. You have created your Survey Form. Now, you will have to publish it.
5. Publishing the Created Survey Form
  • If you have already created your survey form, simply click on “Send Form” button to publish it. The screenshot of the same is shown below:

  • After clicking on “Send Form” button as shown in above figure, you will see the below given screen. We want to use it on Blogger blog so click on “Embed” button.:

  • After clicking on “Embed” button, you will see the below given screen. Adjust the height and width according to your template. Once done, copy the HTML code. We will use the same code later on.

How to use the Created Survey form in Blogger?
  • Sign into your Blogger Account.
  • In your Blogger’s Dashboard, click on “New Post” button. The screenshot is shown below:

  • In New Post screen, Click on “HTML” button. Paste the code, which you have copied in the above step. Below given picture shows the same:

  • Once done, click on “Publish” button and enjoy.

I really like Google Docs and almost all product of Google because most of them are free and comes with many feature. I have started using their latest tool i.e Google Web Designer Tool . It is still in Beta stage but has enough features to impress users.
