Interview with Syed Faizan Ali of MyBloggerLab and Templateism.com

Few months ago, I started Interview series of Pro Bloggers on this blog with the purpose of learning their tactics. I was not sure whether visitors will like these interviews or not but i decided to publish news posts each week. It became popular specially among new bloggers which motivated me to continue this series. Till now, I have already interviewed Bloggers like SEO Master: Neil Patel , Long Tail Pro Owner Spencer HawsKulwant Nagi of BloggingCage , Ammar Ali of AllBloggingTips  and Many Others as Well. You can check all interview of Pro Bloggers which has conducted by me on this blog by Clicking Here.

Today I am very much excited to Interview another Famous Blogger of Pakistan. He is a Pro Blogger who has got enormous popularity at very young Age so we can learn a lot from him. His name is Syed Faizan Ali. If you are Blogger user, you must be knowing Syed Faizan Ali because his Templates and Other Blogger Resources are extremely popular. According to me, he deserves 3rd rank in the list of best bloggers of Pakistan after Muhammad Mustafa and Syed Balkhi. I have seen so many people who completely changes their behaviour and attitude after getting name, Money and Fame. Fortunately Syed Faizan Ali is not one of them. When i requested him for the interview, he was quick to reply. He was polite as well which was impressive. He is a busy person but still managed to answer my questions. Lets see, how he answered my questions:

(1) You don’t need an introduction but as a part of the formality, can you please tell our Readers a little about yourself?

Answer: Thanks Ravi for those kind words, I was an ordinary guy with nothing so special until I found the hidden talent and that was my love towards computers.  I have founded two of the most popular Blogger (BlogSpot) Resource sites MyBloggerLab and Templateism. I live in the technology hub of Pakistan, the city of Karachi. As per my education is concerned, I am soon going to be either computer or software engineering student.

(2) What is blogging for you? How do you see yourself without blogging?

Blogging is a whole new world, it’s a place where you can imagine anything, believe me you can. However, blogging can be used as a tool for converting your ideas into words so that other people may take benefit from them. I will not say I don’t want to earn when I started blogging but I never give earning my first priority because when you think about money and dollars you cannot concentrate. This is the only thing that our young bloggers need to learn. Don’t think about the money in the first 6 months of your blogging career because it’s the time when you gain the trust of your readers.
These days I am getting a bit rusty because I have been doing a lot of web developing and designing for Templateism that I hardly get any time to write a blog. Nonetheless, I need to push now because people really want some quality blogs from an authentic source.

(3) How You Came To Know About Blogging and when? Have you faced any obstacle in the beginning?

At the age of 13, my elder brother introduced me with Blogger.com. I readly created a Free blog with a lot of embedded funny YouTube Videos and unbelievably I also got my Adsense approved within a few days. However, the fun didn’t last for so long I had to leave blogging because of education. At the age of 15, I retuned to blogging and today I am with you.

(4) Tell our readers a little about your offline life.

Honestly speaking, I am not a guy that likes socializing or clubbing, I am more of an indoor person. That does make sense because almost all those guys who ‘re bloggers aren’t really that great when it comes to socializing. Nonetheless, I tried my best to spend some quality time with my family because we cannot ignore them for a few cents of money. Yet, I get complaints from my family members I live in isolation so, I am working on it hope to fix it soon.

(5) You started blogging at the very young age .Have you faced any kind of resistance from your parents?

My parents never knew that their son is busy with setting up an online business. They always use to think, I am just spending time online, playing games, chatting with friends and other lame stuff that teens does. However, when I got my first payment from BuySellAds it was a shocking thing for my parents because that payment was equal to my dad’s 6 months’ income. So it was woohoo for me.
Now they know about what I do, and they support me whenever it’s needed. No complaints whatsoever. Yet, they are not aware of the fact that I am giving this interview lol.

(6) Most of the Pro Bloggers recommend WordPress Platform for the purpose of blogging but you chose Blogger. May i know why?

Blogger and WordPress has no comparison one is better in SEO and other is better in security, this takes none of the platform to be indispensable. My love for the blogger is due to simplicity and convenience. Now a guy who is new to blogging, will he be ready to invest 100$ for hosting? Of course not. Therefore, I recommend blogger to all new guys, it’s a great start-up for everyone and once you got your roots into it the money will start flowing.
For me Platform doesn’t matter a lot, what matters is the guy who is running that site and that is YOU!

(7) Please tell us a little about your blogs i.e MyBloggerLab and Templateism along with your Goals.

MyBloggerLab.com is a site where we share tutorials and tips related to blogspot/blogger platform. Templateism .com is a place for Professional Blogger templates for FREE. Both of these sites, help each other because the Niche is almost the same. Goals are to create a marketplace for Blogger Templates, and my guys are working on it and if everything goes well, you will see it live.

(8) According to You, What are the essential requirements to become a successful blogger?

You just need to trust yourself and your abilities because if you want you can achieve success. Try to reach blogs but never follow them because when you does you are actually hiding your own personality. Why can’t you set up a site that others may follow? Always dream big because first, you don’t pay a single dollar for dreaming and second those who dream big always achieive big.

(9) I know that every successful man has a role model. Who is your role model, as far as blogging is concerned? Also mention the names of your favorite blogs.

I had some favorite blogs, I had few in the past. However, I don’t think it would do justice to the others by naming any xyz blogs. Just one suggestion, Follow everyone but do what you love.

(10) Now a day most of the new bloggers (specially from developing countries) starts blogging on common topics like Making money online, Blogging tutorials, Technology etc but very few of them achieve good results. According to you, which are the best topics for a new bloggers to start blogging?

Yes, this has become a trend. Since, it is simple to write MMO blogs, Tech blogs people have created boundaries. Now, I start a Blogger resource blog because I love blogger . Therefore, everyone should blog on such topics in which they have interests otherwise, you may end up in a wild goose chase.

(11) After how long you were able to generate cash from MyBloggerLab?

I monetized MyBloggerLab.com after six months of its official release, and  it took 3 more months to get my first cashout from BSA.

(12) How do you keep “Bounce Rate” in control. Give some important tips.

I don’t really think about High Bounce Rate, I just see the average duration if its above 2 minutes than there is no need to worry about High bounce rate because if a guy spends 2 minutes, its for sure he is reading your blog and getting help from it. However, add Popular posts, Recent posts, Related posts gadget to allow your visitors to jump from one topic to another. Yet, its not a lethal tip but works in a few cases.

(13) Does a blog’s design affect its SEO? If yes, How? What one should do to optimize their blog for search engines with proper designing?

Yes, Bots can read the structure of your site so it should be well formed with no errors. H1 tags are great for the betterment of SEO. Its called on page optimization. Use H1 tag with your targeted keyword and H2 for less targeted one.

(14) Traffic is essential for bloggers. How do you manage to attract tons of visitors to your blog?

Quality blogs, promotion, advertising, SEO is enough to attract visitors.

(15) I don’t know whether you will answer this question or not but How do you Monetize your Blogs?

I use BuySellads, Affiliates to monetize my blogs.

(16) How do you see Alexa Rank ad Google PageRank? Are they important?

Its been 7 months there is no PR update but its yet essential for advertising and same goes on with Alexa.

(17) How much time does, it take to become a successful blogger?

If you follow the right scheme, it will take 6 months to become a successful blogger.

(18) What are your future plans?

I love living in the present, so I don’t really plan about what I would be doing in future. The ideas just click my brain and I start working on it. However, currently I need to expand my team, I am short of employees. I am doing over time due to less designers and developers, so currently I cannot think about expanding the company.
My Future plans is to think more than just Blogger, I am thinking about more developing stuff like WP and android development.Let see how the plan goes. Our best men’re working on all the projects.

(19) If you could give one tip to newbie bloggers, what would it be?

First of all, new bloggers really need to learn to at least give some sorts of respect to the senior bloggers. Sometime novice bloggers shows extra aggression and that literally spoils everything. They should focus more towards their blog instead of looking what others are doing. The most important thing, a new blogger should always start a blog on a topic that he feels he can cover the best. Many people have started a website on totally unrelated topics that didn’t work out. Find your abilities and make them count.
Syed Faizan Ali is an Inspirational Character for Young Bloggers. In this interview, he has provided lots of important information. How do you see this interview?
